While the Blockdot Dallas office may be well-known for its bottomless candy drawer and free soda fridge, today it’s all about the fruit.
Blockdot Creates Popular Sushi Monster™ Math Game for Scholastic
Blockdot is the proud creator of Sushi Monster™, a free iPad math game from Scholastic that is taking the Apple App Store by storm. Sushi Monster has become an educational app hit for parents, teachers and kids.
Since its mid-April launch Sushi Monster™ has hit as high as #2 in the Education App category, as high as #18 in overall, and has been featured in the Apple staff’s New & Noteworthy.
Sushi Monster™ allows kids to practice, reinforce, and extend math fact fluency and is completely engaging and appropriately challenging.
Sushi Monster™ was originally created as one of 18 new games for Scholastic’s new FASTT Math® Next Generation. FASTT Math helps kids become fluent and flexible in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts, freeing up working memory for the more rigorous math skills required by the Common Core State Standards. FASTT Math has always provided the most efficient, personalized learning path for fact fluency. Now it also draws upon the latest gaming theory and cognitive science to make it more engaging than ever for kids.
The app can be downloaded for free on the Apple App Store – http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/sushi-monster/id512651258?mt=8
